Was initially approached on LinkedIn and after an initial chat, was booked in for a team meet. This was a very warm and welcoming experience, where I got to ask lots of questions about what it is like to work there. Amazing transparency shown. The next stage was a cultural interview, where I got to meet someone outside of the tech team and who had worked at Flagstone for a very long time. Both of these stages were relaxed and informal whilst remaining professional. The final stage was an hour long technical interview and a half hour management interview. The technical interview was robust but did not include any high stress techniques such as whiteboarding. Almost equal importance was placed on assessing my ability to be a compassionate manager. Whole process took under 2 weeks, and I got the call to offer the job very soon after the final interview.
