I applied in-person. I interviewed at FedEx in Jun 2011
Interview
It was quick. You fill out an application at the location, then they will interview you right after. Pretty much, they're making sure that you are competent since the package handler is a basic job. After the interview. They make you come in after a few days (you're basically hired at this point) to watch SOP videos and make sure you're eligible to work.
Mostly based off work history. They seem felon friendly. I do not have a criminal history. Personality test not difficult. They responded within 4 weeks. Haven't been there physically or meant face to face.
Super easy process—mostly online application with basic questions about availability, ability to lift 50-70 lbs, and fast-paced work. No tough interview; quick hire after background check. Positive and straightforward. Definitely worth it.
