      Finance Manager Interview

      12 Nov 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Everly Health (Austin, TX) in Aug 2020

      Interview

Recruiter reached out to me about the position, indicating the need to move quickly on the role. When I spoke with her, she gave background on the company and asked a few basic interview questions. At the end of the question round, I was told my experience level was not what they were looking for (they wanted 8-10 years experience). This was confusing as she reached out to me and had a clear view of my experience from my LinkedIn profile. The job posting indicated that the role requirements were 3-5 years of experience, which was in line with my background. I was told that they could possibly consider me for a more junior role and that she would follow up early next week. After a thank you and a follow-up, I did not hear back for over a month from the recruiter. Strangely enough, I received an email intended for another candidate, including their name (which I considered a major privacy concern), with a polite message that the company declined to move forward. Professionalism in recruiting efforts is essential to talent acquisition. I understand that volume of hiring and open roles plays a large part in dropped communications with potential hires. However, I do not believe that this was a scenario where my time was respected. As for the privacy concerns with sharing candidate names with other parties I sincerely hope my information was not erroneously shared with anyone else.

Thank you for leaving a review. First off, we want to apologize for the negative experience that you had during the interview process. Candidate experience is very important to us so please know that we had no intention for causing confusion during your interview process. We are currently taking active steps to build out SLAs throughout our recruitment process. We are also working to train our recruiting team along with our agencies to improve our recruiting process. We have notified our third party agencies to meet our service level agreements. However, it is unacceptable to receive an email addressing another name. We recently changed ATS and will be looking into this further. Again, we deeply apologize for the experience you had during the interview process and appreciate the feedback.
