I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Eventbrite in Oct 2014
Interview
I was contacted by their VP of Engineering at a conference where I had a short chat. After a couple of weeks, a recruiter reached out to me to schedule a phone interview with an engineer. I was asked behavioral questions, questions about resume and technical details about past projects and classes. After a month, I had a Google Hangout interview with another engineer where they asked about some of my projects and dove into great technical detail grilling me about details I had long forgotten.
I was never officially rejected. They just stopped contacting me beyond a point.
This was a really weird interview process. I was never asked a data structures or algorithms question or ever had to code unlike every other technical interview I've had. I ended up with offers from top companies in the end and am not really sure what this whole process was about.
In their defense, all the folks I talked to were super friendly and they have the creator of Django working there. I just wish there was more structure and clear expectations in their interview process.

Grilled me on some of my open-source contributions from a year ago.
Oh no! I'm really sorry that we dropped the ball. We aim to never leave anyone hanging and always close the loop with our candidates. Feel free to email me at deniz [at] eventbrite.com to follow up.
