I applied online. I interviewed at Environmental Protection Agency (Boston, MA) in Apr 2020
Interview
Easy, straightforward. The process consisted of one interview with a panel of employees. The interview lasted about an hour, and I was asked typical interview questions (i.e job experience, career goals, expectations etc). A background check and writing sample was required.
It was conducted virtually on Microsoft Teams with a panel of people who took turns to ask you a list of questions (about eight to ten questions in total). Sometimes only one round of interview, sometimes two rounds.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1

Describe a time where there was a conflict and how you solved it.

Interview
Interview questions are basic, and appropriately geared towards students with less experience in the field. It took a little while to hear back on hiring decisions, however I understand this is the norm with government agencies.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Environmental Protection Agency (Boston, MA) in Jun 2020
Interview
Two rounds of interviews, one with HR and one with several potential managers. Very nice people and standard interview process, however the onboarding process afterwards took several weeks (background check, security clearance, training, etc.)
