      Enterprise Account Manager Interview

      14 Apr 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Comcast (Denver, CO) in Apr 2016

      Interview

A Comcast recruiter (contract) contacted me by email regarding the Enterprise Account Manager - Denver position. We scheduled a phone screen that went well and we setup another, longer call with their Sr. Recruiter. The call with Sr. Recruiter was very disorganized. For the first 20 minutes she was interviewing me for the wrong position. When I figured it out and mentioned it, she became flustered and her questions lost their structure, indicating she was making them up as we went along. As the interview came to a close, she set clear timelines of what to expect next, and confirmed that I would be moving forward to meet with the hiring managers. She failed to deliver any of the promised updates and hasn't returned any emails, which was her requested mode of communication. This level of disorganization so early in the process is an indicator of how bad things are running internally.

The questions were largely generic. It's up to you to sell your experience and skillset.

      Enterprise Account Manager Interview

      6 May 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Comcast

      Interview

I was called by the recruiter 2 days after putting my resume into the system. We scheduled a time to have our initial phone screen, and then that was that. When it came time for the phone screening, I noticed a few of the questions seemed a bit off. When I asked the recruiter about the oddity of each question, she was unable to speak to why. She also had no idea where the office was, or what the details of the job were. She was essentially just calling to read questions off of a piece of paper, and then copy down my answers. The phone screen lasted a half hour, and she said someone else would follow-up with me if they decided to move forward. The following week I got a VM from the same recruiter asking me to call ASAP. I called her back, and she wanted to know if I had sent my resume in... ???? Yes, recruiter, I have sent my resume in. She then asked me what location I was applying to, and then tried to confirm that I was applying to a different position than the one that she interviewed me for. I had to walk her through how to use her computer to go online and find the job req that I applied for. She then proceeded to say "Oh, it looks like position was filled a while ago." Great. Thanks.
