I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Citizens (Albany, NY) in Oct 2012
Interview
I first applied online. I had to fill out an application and complete an online assessment as well. The assessment took about a half hour to complete and consisted of general behavioral and mathematical questions. I was then contacted via email by a recruiter. The recruiter set up a telephone interview. It was a basic interview which lasted twenty minutes. The next step was a one on one interview. Even though I had an appointment and was on time, my actual interview was an hour later than scheduled. It was an open house and people were justing walking in for interviews. This was just a repeat of the phone interview. Very basic and easy questions: Why do you want to work here? Tell me a time you provided exceptional customer service. Tell me how you once dealt with a customer who was irate. I was then told to return to my seat and wait for the regional manager. I then spoke with two managers and basically repeated the same interview. Long drawn out process but relatively easy.
It was pretty standard and expected interview. I didn't get anything that i wasnt really expecting from a youtube video and asking industry questions. dont have issues at the moment with the process overall
Very welcoming, conversational. The manager was enthusiastic and spoke about the culture and job requirements. I felt positive about Citizens Bank, coming from another field. I do not have any thing else to say.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Citizens (Broadview Heights, OH) in Aug 2025
Interview
The interview process was very easy. I completed an online assessment and video interview first. After evaluating my online assessment and video interview, I was contacted by Citizens with different selections for scheduling an interview. I picked one, showed up early (as they ask that you show up 15 minutes early), and sat down with the Branch Manager. It was a great interview and the Branch Manager was very courteous and friendly while demonstrating that they were very passionate about their role with Citizens. It was a great interview experience.
