Recruiter screening, technical assessment, hiring manager interview, then panel interview (separated into 3 days because apparently couldn’t be bothered to coordinate a true panel interview). 6 total days of interviews over 3 weeks. A nightmare to navigate while still employed.
Recruiter was awesome and easy to communicate with. Everything else was a mess.
Red flags galore. Overly large focus on STAR method which was a red flag in itself. All interviewers were ex-Amazon and lifeless. Another red flag.
All interviews went well until I got to the top guy who was 20 minutes late and had a completely different understanding of the role than the rest of the team. Wanted proficiency in tools that were not listed in the job description and never mentioned by any other interviewers. Basically described a completely different job.
Recruiter told me I “dodged a bullet” when she called to reject me. Based on the interviews I had, I 100% believe her. Based on the company reviews and my interview with the top guy, I was prepared to decline an offer even if it did come so no love lost.
If you get called for an interview in the transportation department… run.
