I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Central Business Consultants in Oct 2014
Interview
The first interview was very short- just a basic introduction. In the interview, I was told that it was a sales job with established clients and was not cold calling. I was selected for a second interview, which was shadowing someone for 8 hours without lunch. Once out in the field, I discovered I was lied to and this was door to door cold calling, even at businesses that said "No Solicitors." I told the employee I was shadowing I was not interested in the position, but was still kept out in the field until the end of the business day.

Question 1
They did not ask a lot of questions, just reviewed your resume and asked if you were comfortable with customer service.
I applied online. I interviewed at Central Business Consultants (Richmond, VA) in Sept 2014
Interview
Found CBC online and had an interview a couple days later, 2nd interview a week after that. I was told there is salary... that is not the case, I was told I would be doing no cold calling... also a lie. They try to shove the opportunity of making a bunch of money in your face literally everyday. They also tell you once you get promoted to assistant management you are then on salary starting at 75000/ year, this is yet another lie.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Central Business Consultants
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter from a new office that had opened and were looking to hire quickly. I had a quick screening interview with the recruiter about sales experience, customer service, and why I would like to work for CBC. I was then asked to come in to their office for an in-person interview. When I arrived, there were 5 other people there for interviews. I met with another district manager Director. The interview was very short, maybe around 5-10 minutes. They give you a good overview of the company and what they do. I was not really asked any real interview questions, they more want to see if you have good communication skills and can carry on a conversation. After the interview, I was asked to come in a few days later for a job shadow. When I arrived for the job shadow, there were 3 other candidates there for a job shadow as well. Each person was paired off with a client manager to hang out with them for the day and get a sense of what the job entails. I then spent the day walking around town in their specified area going from business to business trying to sell products. My client manager was very lucky in selling products from paper to ink cartridges to small/medium business and their goal is to make two sales a day. We sat down for lunch to go over job and salary specifics. The job shadow is a all day, 8-5, and they then report back to the Director on how the day went and if they liked you or not, if hired you would join their selling team. After the job shadow, they make a decision very quickly. I was contacted the next day with a job offer.
