I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Centene (Conway, AR) in Apr 2015
Interview
A member of the HR staff and the supervisor for the specific department I was applying to conducted on-campus interviews. They were very friendly, professional, and interested in my specific experience and ability to contribute to the company.
I was particularly pleased that they didn't ask very many of the robotic typical interview questions ("Tell about a time when you..."); instead, they listed specific tasks I'd be given in the role for which I was applying, and asked me abut any previous experience I had with similar tasks, and if not, how I might approach them.
They also were happy to answer my questions about their personal experience with the company, and it was obvious that they loved their jobs and the people with whom they worked. This is one of the few interviews I've ever done where I felt like they were trying to win me over, and not the other way around.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Customer Service is a large part of what we do - and we see that you have CSR experience at another company - can you tell us about that experience, and why you left?
Virtual interview went really well. They asked questions regarding my past experiences and what I had learned from them. It was nice to see how open and honest the interviewer was about their experiences at the company.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Centene in Dec 2019
Interview
The first part was a hireVue interview with several questions. This was followed by a second interview with two managers with two technical questions. An offer was given the following week.
