I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Carnegie Technologies (Austin, TX) in Sept 2018
Interview
After an initial phone interview with an engineer, I was invited for an on-site interview where I had 5 individual interviews with a different member of the team. The first three were to gauge personality, and whether or not you would fit in the company. The last 2 were technical with coding example questions, and circuit component questions. In the end I got a job offer - which was rescinded a week later after I had expressed my interest to work there and was just negotiating start dates.
They did not even write a formal letter to explain why they voided the job offer letter. But the contact I had in the company said that it had nothing to do with my interview, or negotiations, but a miscommunication with CTO and his supervisor on hiring budget.
Needless to say I am very disgruntled with their unprofessional conduct, and the fact that I did not even receive a formal written explanation. This company's reputation is ruined for me in the fact that they do not treat people like people.

Thank you so much for your review. I appreciate you taking the time to speak to me and offering a further understanding of the events that unfolded. I am thankful you accepted my sincere apology in the misunderstanding that happened during our interview process. This was certainly a learning opportunity for all of us. Best of luck to you in your next role.
