I applied online for my interview. An AI chat bot led me through the scheduling process but was unable to field any questions not directly related to a seemingly narrow pool of options available to the bot.
I arrived for a group interview at the store. It seemed like applicants were just coming and going, so I don't believe there was an actual group element to the interview. The manager interviewed applicants one at a time. When it was my turn, I was not asked about my prior skills, just availability. The managers then took turns guessing how old I was before offering me a position at the store, which I accepted. There were no drug or background checks involved. All in all, the interview process averaged to about 20 minutes.
When I arrived for the first day of my job orientation, it was revealed that my information on file was not correct, so I was not able to log into their computers. I was sent home until the team was able to resolve the problems with my information. I have not heard from them since.
The AI chat bot did reach out to me several hours after I was sent home, asking for a five-star review. I was unable to provide this.
