I applied online. A few days later, I got a text message from one of the hiring managers to set up an interview. I ended up meeting with two managers on the team.
It should be noted that the role is NOT a people management role, even though it's labeled "Manager". The leadership team justifies this by saying that the role includes project management responsibilities, including managing projects that you work on independently. In my opinion, this is highly deceptive. When we apply to "manager" roles in the broader job market, we expect it to include people management responsibilities.
Because of this, I withdrew my application and did not proceed further.
