"My experience with Athlon Studio's interview process was the worst experience I ever had. First, I had an initial introductory call for about 30-45 min, then they wanted to schedule a second interview. They asked me to prepare a 45 to 1-hour presentation of 2-3 of my work examples (they didn't want me to just go over my portfolio, it had to be specific for them) and a 30-minute Q&A at the end. I also shared the salary range they asked me, which was on the higher end of theirs, but I decided to go to the second interview after learning about their perks and benefits. I spent two freaking days prepping that presentation (2 of my works and 40 slides) while I had a busy week at my current job. There were 7 or 8 people present at the interview, some of whom weren't even paying attention as I was talking about my work, turning their cameras off and back on. They showed minimal engagement or interest, asking only three questions about my work just because I asked if they had any questions! During the Q&A session, they wanted me to ask more questions despite the 1-hour presentation I just shared with them! My mouth was dry, and I couldn't believe what was happening. So, I asked more questions, and then I asked them, "Do you have more questions about my work?" They were like, "No, we've seen enough." They said, "We'll get back to you." It was clear they had no genuine interest in me or my presentation before entering the call. They already knew they wanted to hire someone else. A few days later, I received an automated rejection email, leaving me questioning why they wasted my time when they had already made their decision. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful. I had a lot of interviews in my life and rejections as well but not anything like this. I regret investing so much time in a company, and I am glad I didn't end up working for them!
To Athlon Studio: You can do better guys! people you interview are not idiots, you might be for thinking they are! I wish you'd canceled the interview and been respectful of my time.
