I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Arrow Electronics (Boise, ID) in Mar 2016
Interview
I applied for a position and was contacted the next day by the recruitment person who asked me to apply for a different opening she thought I was more qualified for. The interview process went quickly. Within the week I was offered to do a video interview. It consisted of a self recording of about seven questions-- the hardest part of the interview process.
I had a phone interview within the next week with the recruitment person (from a different state, not affiliated with the branch I applied for at all). It just turned out to be a verification of my education and job history and salary. She then set up a Skype interview with the hiring manager (I lived in a different town).
The Skype interview was super laid back. He called about 10 minutes late and only asked about three questions that were easy. I sent a follow up email thanking him. After a week I didn't hear anything so I contacted the recruitment person who said he hadn't decided and would within the week. A week later I still hadn't heard so I followed up again. She said he still hadn't decided. That was two months ago and I never heard anything else.
It would have been nice to know whether I was in or out or where the hiring process was at. Were they waiting on funding? Was I close, but not quite what they were looking for? It was really disappointing to be left in the lurch like that.
Thank you for sharing your feedback - it sounds like the core issue was the lack of communication regarding your application status. We are sorry your experience was an unpleasant one, and are always looking for ways to improve our interview process. Please know your thoughts will be shared within the recruiting team.
