Is it inappropriate to wear an Armani or even Kiton suit? When is it appropriate?
Depends on if you expect those present to recognize the brand/general quality of the suit. If you don’t, then wear it whenever you think it’s appropriate to wear a suit generally - they’ll think it looks nice and nothing else. Eh. If you do expect them to know, then only wear it when/where you expect your coworkers/peers to match the quality of what you are wearing, or if presentation is important and it won’t look like youre trying too hard. If a group youre with generally wear some random express crap, don’t wear it. If you’re going to a wedding and you know the groom doesn’t bother much with his clothes, don’t wear it. If youre just going to be around staff that you KNOW are underpaid lol, don’t wear it. If you are going to court and your opponent doesn’t have a lawyer and is in the middle of losing their house, don’t f***ing wear it (the judge i was clerking for came back to chambers and went on an hour long tirade about the ridiculous attorney in a 3k suit who had the ‘nerve’ to argue ‘sumbullshit’ about costs to his client lol it was memorable)

I applied online. I interviewed at Giorgio Armani (New York, NY)
Standard initial HR interview questions that all seemed mostly just a cover for the interviewer’s real questions which was obviously all they really cared about. That is, if you’ll accept the on-site work requirement and the position’s criminally low pay. That’s it. They know they’re offering rock bottom pay and while they’re hybrid for now they want to make sure you also would be okay going back to the office 5 days a week if they “decide in the future” to implement that, (translation: they absolutely will be back in the office 5 days a week as soon as they can). I’m sure it’s a great name to have on your resumé but sounds like a terrible company to work for. Hard pass. Many less than subtle signs of old school mentality and a company that doesn’t care about its employees. I wouldn’t recommend bothering to apply here.
- “Tell me about your experience”, “why Giorgio Armani and this role specifically”, “tell me about a time that challenged you”…nothing out of the ordinary or challenging.

3 steps: HR interview (motivation), manager interview (technical skills), final step with manager and director (overall). Might take a few months when still organising the team structure. It’s important to be prepared about the company’s brands and values. Check out the competitors.
- Which are the brand’s competitors?

Era un Job fair ,quindi non mi aspettavo chissà che roba. Il personale provava disinteresse nell'ascoltare le risposte a cui venivano date, prima impressione negativa , si sentiva da parte sua un senso di superiorità. Poco rispettoso!
