To begin I completed a very short online application which only consisted of questions around my legality to work in the UK/Visa requirements, and whether I had relevant degrees (but not the grade I received).
I then had to complete 4 task-based assessments. Arctic Shores use their own task-based assessments and the ones I took tested for how I understand others, how I attend to tasks and decisions, how I identify patterns and rules, and how I work with numeric concepts. I received an instant feedback report which shows how you compare with a large group of similar candidates who have taken the same assessment.
Next I was invited to complete a pre-recorded video interview where I had to answer 3 different hypothetical scenario-based questions. They asked about motivational fit, working with others, and delivering results. You have 2 minutes to record your answer, but you can re-record if needed.
Finally, I attended an in-person interview. I had to do a 5 minute presentation on the value that Arctic Shores task-based assessments could bring to a client, and then I was asked some follow-up questions on this. I was then asked a few more hypothetical scenario-based questions. Finally, I had to complete an analysis exercise which involved interpreting data from an spreadsheet and using jamovi to perform some basic statistical analysis on it.
Overall, I really enjoyed the process. It was interesting to experience their product first-hand and receive feedback on my performance in the assessments. It felt balanced and fair throughout, and I appreciated that the focus was on your capability as an individual rather than past experiences. It was a quick process too, 19 days from initial application to offer.
