The process took 1 day. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2010
Interview
I turned in my application to this snobbish girl behind the counter. She gave me a date to arrive for the group interview. WELL apparently, she set me up with a wrong date! When I arrived to the store the people behind the counter didn't know what to do said the hiring manager was out to lunch. They had me wait in their little lounge area as I sat and felt very embarrassed. Finally when the hiring manager was back, he took me to the corner of the store with a sheet of questions. He didn't even bother to write anything. After I answered to two or three questions, he said that most of the staff have been hired already, but I will be considered for backup if anyone decides against the position. They basically just wanted to recover from their "mistake" and pretend to give me a chance. It was the biggest waste of time!

Interview
-pretty easy, went inside for an interview and they asked me about my experience. They then made me try on a bunch of clothes and taught me how to fold them.

Interview
Easy interview with manager. We spoke outside about expectations. She was kind and understanding. I interviewed with a couple of people there too. Went over schedule etc. very straight forward and easy

Interview
It was very easy as I knew someone who worked there. They got me an interview and asked me basic questions. They verbally gave me an offer on the spot and I got a offical offer a week later.
