I applied through an employee referral The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AECOM (Brisbane)

Interview

Casual interview with HR and two people from the team. It was mostly a semi-structured discussion and a small technical task. The tasks took about 20 minutes. HR was very nice but then didn't do much after the interview was complete. It is mostly up to each team to hire their staff.

Combined face to face and Skype interview with HR an discipline team leaders. Friendly open discussion with straightforward questions relating to experience. Second half of interview was a less formal 'get to know you a bit more' chat. No Vulcan mind-claw psychometric techniques were employed - that I was conscious of ?

Interview Questions
  • Related to a disastrous project I had been involved with. The question - 'I guess what we're asking, was it your fault.'

good experience - positive interviewer. welcoming environment. asked work related questions in the beginning. lots of non work related conversation which put me at ease. i got a job offer which i accepted. it would help you to prepare a list of questions and grade them as easy, average and difficult, which will help a lot. keep your answers concise whilst not coming across as boring.

I was told about the vacancy and referred by an existing employee in the company. Submitted my CV and had an interview within a few days. The questions were pretty standard like 1) Tell me about yourself 2) Why do you want to work for us 3) What values can you bring to the company and etc. This is then followed by more technical questions related to the job and some scenario based type of questions about how I would overcome the various technical challenges.
