Difficult Interview

Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at A.T. Kearney.

Interview

I applied throught the American Referrals process. The staff were very kind and helpful the entire time. I completed a phone screen, mostly a resume review and questions about my interest in the firm, followed by two rounds of interviews. The first round was a behavioral and case, and the second round was a written case and two behaviorals

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at A.T. Kearney (New York, NY (US)) in December 2015.

    Interview

45 minute Case and 45 minute Behavioral. You won't know which will come first. It was pretty easy going. The Behavioral interview was a typical interview. Know your resume. The case portion was tougher. I had a guy with a think accent and it was difficult to understand what he was saying at times.

    Interview Questions

    • Tell me about yourself. The case study involved variable costs. So know your variable costs and how they work!   Answer Question

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at A.T. Kearney (Dallas, TX (US)) in October 2015.

    Interview

Two sets of interviews. The first had a case and behavioural interviews. Be well prepared, know your stuff as you're going to be peppered with lots of cross questions to your answers.

The second had two behavioural interviews and a case presentation. The case presentation was difficult as you only have 60 minutes to prepare a presentation and answer the questions.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at A.T. Kearney (Melbourne (Australia)) in August 2016.

    Interview

We applied first for the case challenge, which was a full day of problem solving in teams of 4. There were 16 of us at the case interview, then 6 of us made it through to final round interviews.
The final interviews were 2 back to back 40 minute interviews, each interview was half behavioural and half case interview style.

    Summer Associate Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Brussels (Belgium)
    No Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I interviewed at A.T. Kearney (Brussels (Belgium)) in November 2013.

    Interview

Fairly standard process. All interviews in 1 day. First one with a manager, then principal and the last one with a partner. The last partner interview had one tricky question which was more a business economics question than -what he called it himself- brain teaser. Didn't do well on that question which probably cost me the offer.

    Summer Associate Interview

Anonymous Employee in Dubai (United Arab Emirates)
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at A.T. Kearney (Dubai (United Arab Emirates)) in April 2015.

    Interview

On campus recruiting for Round 1 with Manager, followed by 3 rounds of Skype interviews with Principals and Partners over 6 weeks. Round 2-4 were conducted over skype / telephone.
Pricipals were from different sectors, but made the interviews interesting.
    All interviews lasted 1 hour.

    Interview Questions

    • Fit + Case.
The first case on campus had lots of charts and figures, and was searching for 2nd level insights drawn from the data and the calculations. Self-driving the case was important.
Advanced level round cases were unconventional and were being changed on the feet.   Answer Question
    • Why ATK? Why Dubai? Why consulting? Discuss in detail my work experience, how I did what I did, etc. A bit of discussion on 2 projects.   Answer Question

    Summer Associate Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Vienna (Austria)
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at A.T. Kearney (Vienna (Austria)) in January 2019.

    Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at A.T. Kearney (Brussels (Belgium)) in December 2013.

    Interview

1 Answer
