Applied and got a call the next day, did the brief phone interview. Went into the store and did some basic construction math. They're basically looking for Store Associates with the "prospects" of becoming a manager. Was offered near minimum wage with a bachelors degree and 2 years professional experience. They need to review the job description, a highschool student is qualified for this job. Does not look good on the company to try and pull this stunt on professional level workers.
I applied online. I interviewed at 84 Lumber (Oriskany, NY) in Aug 2024
Interview
The interview process was about 20 minutes and all took place at the front desk with a single interviewer who would be the supervisor. It was less of an interview and more of a preliminary checklist of what's expected of the position.

Easy and very pressure free, Lou was the branch manager and he was very personal and informal. Showed me around the lumbar yard as well which was great to see considering the work environment
