realworld one FAQ

Pros

I worked for Realworld one India for 1.5 years and in my experience, it is a very good company with strong fundamentals and a lot of potential to become very big player in the VR/AR for business domain. It has all the advantages of being a small company - Less management, wide scope of responsibilities, one-one interactions, freedom of expression, freedom to ideate/innovate etc. A big plus is to work with an international team and culture. All my previous experiences were with IT services giants like TCS and Infosys but this is still the best experience because of the advantages mentioned above. I left Realworld one India but I am I am still part of the parent company in a different location, in a different role. So, I did not leave the company in the short period of 1.5 years.

Cons

The company is independent with an Indian leadership and it is leading very well as far as I can see. I personally do not find any issues working with the company. If you are coming from a big company, you might have used internal portals and well defined workflows for non-work related tasks like Health insurance or Tax proofs. But RW1 being a small company, such HR, payroll, Taxation are semi-automated ie, a few things are in portal like salary slip but still a few things are communicated over email. This is not a con but I just wanted to write it down in this column.

Advice to Management

Nothing. I have high expectations from the management and just watching them perform well. :)

Pros

Work Culture, Work-Life Balance, Compensation & Benefits are really good compared to any other players in the market within VR/AR. Since its a growing company the opportunities to Learn & Grow are high. Management really takes care of its employees physical & mental well being. Amazing colleagues/team bringing rich experience and skills from various gaming studios.

Cons

Haven't found any at the moment. On the other hand the Leadership team has already taken up projects to bring in new benefits for employees in terms of compensation structure, Leave policies & working etc. Office Location - Since the team has grown at fast pace during pandemic the management should find a space in a Tech Park to attract top talent as it provides various amenities to employees.

Advice to Management

As the market leaders into VR/AR domain the company should also look at offering internships to graduates who wants to join VR/AR domain. Starting an academy and providing certifications
