How are the career development opportunities at Whitespectre?

Pros

I have been with Whitespectre for almost a year and I can say with absolute confidence that it's been the highlight of my professional career. I learn daily from brilliant people who work hard, cover a wide spectrum of expertise and robust processes. And most of all, on all levels, people genuinely care about employee well-being and career development, and wider issues such as climate change and charity. Also, they generally pick their clients well. I've made great friends in here and most of the people in the company have been around for a good while.

Cons

Nothing major. At times being remote can cause communication issues, but Whitespectre have been doing everything possible to remedy that and establish a truly unique, closely knit remote culture.

Advice to Management

Keep the brilliant work!

How are senior leaders perceived at Whitespectre?

Pros

I've been with Whitespectre for 3.5 years and I enjoyed the experience. WS operates at a high level of technical excellence, transparency, and trust. My ideas, suggestions, and questions were always welcomed and I had the support needed to implement those ideas. You get detailed feedback on your performance and Whitespectre hears you - I was interested in leadership and got this opportunity. Team members are highly professional and always there for you. Everyone is friendly, smart, and fun. Work-life balance is great. And btw, I've enjoyed Barcelona meetups (before the COVID-19 pandemic). Now I have quite a few buddies around the world.

Cons

Whitespectre is mostly a consulting agency helping clients to achieve their goals, so you might end up in a project that doesn't belong to the area of your interests. However, you can focus on technical/communicational/leadership excellence to avoid being bored/unmotivated.

How is management perceived at Whitespectre?

Pros

The time that I have been in WS has allowed me to meet wonderful and very professional people in their field. The projects on which they work are carefully chosen and all of them usually have a background beyond mere execution, establishing close and lasting relationships with their clients. At the work level, cutting-edge technologies and work methodologies are used. The planning is clear, concise and well directed. Emphasis is placed on the professional and personal growth of the employee, with weekly 1to1 follow-ups and performance reviews, to discover their concerns and try to satisfy them with solutions that make you feel even more valued. They advocate autonomy and self-management within a united team framework with clear objectives. Several internal sessions are held monthly where projects, ideas, concerns or anything that team members want to share are exposed. Knowledge is shared between the different projects in a pleasant and useful way It has been a pleasure to be part of this team, and I will not hesitate to apply again when I am looking for something in the same vein. Thanks WS!

Cons

I can't find a downside in the time I've worked. I left to start a new adventure, no disadvantage made me make this decision, which was difficult since I was very comfortable.

management within a united team framework with clear objectives.
