I loved the schedule and vacation, lieu days, sick days, dental, medical, eyecare benefits and my coworkers and the guests travelling with the airlines we serviced.

Cons

Some days we would be short staffed because of sick calls-no shows and overworked, manpower planning not always the best but not bad. Laid off because of work shortage due to Covid19. More and more contracts lost lately to to other ground service companies and seniority dropped a lot due to merger with Servisair.

Pros

Easy application and easy to maintain your job. Training is complicated but provided by the company and pay use to be competitive.. when I left it was practically minimum wage. Other than that hope you have good coworkers or else it's a nightmare

Cons

Where do I start. 1. The pay 2. The declining benefits 3. No room for "real" growth. 4. Lack of pension or equivalent or RRSP contribution. 5. Shift work. 6. Incredibily slow pay increase ( far far below inflation). And lastly the lack of direction from management in regards to employee retainment and issues that arise

Advice to Management

Listen to ground workers and actively take steps to improve the functionality of day to day operations. Improve pay grade and rssp contribution. Have a more active role in help progress and promote current employees already working for the company.
