Pros

Big company, competitive wages, decent benefits package, good 401k plan, fast-paced environment, good chance for promotions within, decent vacation/PTO time and you have the opportunity for advancement if you are motivated. RNDC is very good about expanding into new markets, competing for the rights to distribute more brands and increasing their market share. Job security is pretty good if you have a good work ethic!

Cons

Lots of "free labor" expected for non-hourly and salaried/commissioned employees. Long hours during "peak" times and you are expected to work harder when they are "short-handed" (which has been the case often this year). The company is rather top-heavy and often suffers from a "too many chiefs and not enough Indians" situation - more layers of management than is really necessary. RNDC is very "woke" (politically) and sometimes they get carried away with being PC, but it's only a minor issue. Overall, it's still a great place to work if you like to hustle.

Advice to Management

Keep up the mostly good work, but don't be afraid to spend some more money on preventive maintenance, especially with regard to vehicles. It saves more money in the long run. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, right? Also, extending "sign on bonuses" to new hires is a great recruiting tool........but don't forget to reward your warehouse crew and your drivers who stuck with you during the pandemic. They kept this place afloat through the good AND bad times.

Up the pay there are more jobs and less and less rndc associates every week

Pros

RNDC is the second-largest alcohol distributor in the nation and with that there are a lot of job opportunities for growth. RNDC is big on promoting from within so if you do a good job you can advance your career. There is strong job security and never times where the company does large layoffs.

Cons

A lot of hours and not a ton of time off (especially in the beginning). There is no maternity leave so when I went on leave for both of my children it was unpaid for a large portion because I had to file for FMLA. Benefits are not fantastic.

Advice to Management

It's 2022- Create a Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, or Parental Leave. We shouldn't be punished financially for having children.

Pros

Great team collaboration, learning resources available and company cares about their employees

Cons

Healthcare benefit offered is only for wellness visits. There are employees that have certain preexisting conditions that require them or their children to take medication regularly and the health benefits offered do not cover regular doctor visits and Rx
