Advice to Management

Respect the telent who makes punchh from zero to now. If you don't recognise the nerds and geeks at company, atleast stop spoiling the bad culture to employees. I know punchh who do impossible stuff makes possible in very short time, and now possible thing are impossible with lots of time and politics and diversion. Thank God I quit this place on time.

They do a decent job of talking about work life balance and have some events, but overall they grind you down, and do very little training on what your job is or should be. Management is uninspiring and does very little actual work, other than hire other mid level managers to protect themselves.

My god this company is racist. They only hire managers from India - and most of them have zero clue about the marketplace they are serving, or how to properly communicate with their customer base. Launch of the app is twice as long because they have uninspiring developers in ...yep, you guessed it, India - which are overworked, underpaid, and don't have much actual creative talent. This leads to a mediocre app experience, while other companies are coming out with customizable user experiences and kicking Punchh's booty. Not to mention the UX for the back end, looks like it was made by someone that never had a person to person connection ever - it is not very intuitive and ignores the fact that most of their customers are actually marketing people and not all that technical leading their customers to get VERY LITTLE out of what could be a huge multiplier for them. They need to hire some people here in the states that understand the marketplace and can develop innovative apps, or they will be gone in a couple of years as others create better user experiences.

Advice to Management

PAR needs to clean house, the CEO is boring, only hires other people from India - and basically could inspire anyone to do anything. Sales are easy as the idea is great but follow up and implementation are hamstrung with very poor leadership. STOP hiring people because they have an Indian accent and START hiring people that understand the marketplace, and for crying out loud, if you hire a manager, MAKE THEM DO THE JOB of the people they are managing so at least they have a rudimentary understanding of what they are managing.

Punchh for the most part hires smart, hardworking folks. Great team to work with.

Unhealthy work/life balance. When vocalizing this to leadership (upon their request) we were only met with "hang in there" sentiments. Across other department's, leadership is not organized nor do they understand the big picture issues. Push numbers, everything else comes last.
