Does Nordstrom offer dental insurance?

Pros

- working from home - plenty of growth opportunities - company wants to help you grow in the direction you want to go in - plenty of benefits such as healthcare, dental insurance, life insurance, and 401K - my managers were supportive

Cons

- did not notify us far enough in advance that we were getting laid off - have to wait to accrue your time off before using out - limited PTO for the year and you're not allowed to take unpaid time off either - personally, because it was a remote position, it was harder to get to know your coworkers and bond with them - definitely not enough stylists were hired to meet customer demand, so we were expected to do trunks in too little of a time frame to meet our daily trunk goals

Advice to Management

- Allow people to take more time off when they need and don't make employees have to "accrue" their PTO before using it. Just give them a set amount for the year. - Let employees know at least 3 months in advance before they get laid off, so they have time to prepare and look for a new job - Since one of Nordstrom's values is being "customer obsessed," I would advise you to give employees more time to properly work with customers to meet their needs. I know Nordstrom severed Trunk Club, but I believe this still would apply to any customer-service oriented department.
