Pros

Health insurance is the only good thing

Cons

Messy company, multiple MCR employees spoke bad about each other or tried getting "intel". Positions filled are more of bodies and not qualified. My Regional never had any answers and was ALWAYS slow to respond. They aren't good with numbers either. Large company so they make blanket decisions. If I was an investor I would hate to see money thrown down drain.

Advice to Management

Hopeless. From what fellow GMs say and the amount of turnover. Clearly disconnected.

Good salary. Nice coworkers. A decent insurance packages.

Lack of PTO, no hybrid work, questionable ethics, insanely long hours. Total lack of diversity.

Advice to Management

I worked for a year at MCR, in Dev Ops. The office is a vanity placeholder at 1WTC and half the offices are empty--and they rent half the floor. Loved the fancy office furniture, I would have preferred summer Fridays. There is literally no hybrid work option, we were there simply to fill the office because the hotel workers had to go to work no matter what. The co-workers were really helpful (I did love that it wasn't snobby and filled with Ivy grads, except for the President) and all worked together, but I always felt we were skirting engineering and structure issues on the properties. The hours were insanely long, everyone worked through lunch. I just didn't see any point in working that much harder when they were already getting two+ more hours a day than any other employer. There is ONE POC in the office. There is ONE woman in senior leadership. Nobody smiles--that should have been the tell.

Pros

Pay was pretty decent, compared to industry standard.

Cons

Upper management doesn’t care about employees, no respect for work/life balance, no culture to speak of, micromanaging managers.
