How are the career development opportunities at Homesavers?

Pros

Colleague camaraderie, People who work there are mostly good people.

Cons

Mismanagement, Poor pay, High turnover, Shocking stock management, Poor priority of tasks, No progression, 6 month contract allows them to get rid of you as soon as it's up, dodgy practice, Take advantage of younger staff who get paid pennies, I was missing about €700-€800 on my first pay for "reasons", Due to them hiring majority younger staff so they only have to pay them around €6/hr, drama is rampant, HR seems ineffective, Infringement on workers' rights (Temperature below working temperature on a consistent basis in most shops due to them not wanting to pay for heating), Demand staff to move to other shops, Mistreatment of supervisors, Favoritism, Unprofessional, Barely any holidays.

Advice to Management

How is race or ethnicity talked about at Homesavers?

Pros

There is plenty of beter retailers to work for

Cons

There is no sunday premium whatsoever and it seems like fastest growing company in ireland is expanding so many stores but can't pay normal wage to its workers many people quit. if you are under age or only 18 you wont get full minimum wage but under 10 euro which is horrible. This is place to avoid. Also staff is made to follow everybody half the reviews here are from people who definately need to stop smoking sht.

Advice to Management

get your sh together and stop talking about climbing a ladder because 2 sticks without steps is not a ladder. Also late on paying half the staff dont get properly paid managers seem to be doing this on purpose to people who refuse to be flexible.
