Pros

Can decide whether to work in the office or from home (for the most part)

Cons

For hiring and promotions there is a clear preference towards the white straight men in the organisation. Particularly within tech roles, the voices of women and members of the LGBTQ community are often overshadowed and under valued. Majority of technical managers are straight men and it can be a very isolating company for women or members the LGBT community. (Daily interaction are nearly exclusively with just straight men and majority of the decision makers are straight men) . There is no diversity officer or team that focus on diversity , there is no diversity strategy or diversity policies.

Advice to Management

Should invest more in diversity to avoid the boys club mentality. Overall the business has some amazing female and LGBTQ talent but they are under appreciated and not given the same opportunities as the straight men in the business. It would be definitely worth looking at existing teams and investigating why the straight team members have been promoted over women and LGBTQ staff despite performance and experience. There is a clear discrimination issue in the business that should be identified and looked at.

Pros

You get great opportunities to travel when on the grad programme. Once you are flexible with where you will live, a lot of opportunities are given to you. If you're lucky enough to get put on a team with senior FD developers, you will learn so much.

Cons

It's tough to get to speak with management sometimes, a lot of the time you can get stuck on a project you don't like/isn't applicable to your skill set but your not allowed to come off it.

Pros

Travel to Ireland for training, interesting placements/clients for data scientists, lots of young employees - easy to make new friends!

Cons

Not a place to stay long term. Not tons of guidance, management isn't helpful, benefits aren't great.

Advice to Management

Allow grads to decide whether they want to be on the expenses package or fully salary. Especially American grads who are promised to travel but rarely do.
