What is the retirement plan like at Electricity Supply Board (ESB)?

Employee Safety is taken care of. Work Life balance is good. High Pension which is good when you near your retirement age.

Cons

No Promotion at all since last 3 years. Base Salary is way less than market. Salary hike is way less than competitors. Promotion is preferential towards Irish Nationals only instead of other European/Non-European Nationals. Diversity can only be seen in the lower ranks. When you go up higher in the Management, No Non-Irish white person can be seen. 50% discount in Electricity bill is a HOAX: With Simple Math, Instead of giving 50% discount in Electricity bill only which can amounts to avg. Euros 100-200 MAX in 2 months, If Base Salary is increased to match Market Salary then Employee would gain Avg. Euros 200 - 500/month even after paying the full Elec bill.

With Simple Math: Instead of giving 50% discount in Electricity bill only which amounts to Euros 100 in 2 months on Average, If Salary is increased to match Market Salary then Employee would gain Avg. Euros 200 - 500/month.

High Pension which is good when you near your retirement age.
