What is health insurance like at EcoVadis?
Pros
A lot of insights on companies’ CSR policies and SMS Free fruit and coffee. Informal environment
Cons
For those interested in the “analyst” role in Warsaw: Are you ready to work for one of the most hypocrite companies in the world? Are you willing to be underpaid (900€)* for a job that requires you to hold a MSc, speak up to 3 languages, be extremely precise without basically any rooms for mistake? Ready to be constantly stressed? Are you down to work for a firm involved in CSR that rates companies according to sustainable principles that they do not even follow? Because you have to know that they are very good to preach workers’ right but much less to put them in practice. As a former analyst in Warsaw I can tell you that this is the right place to be treated first as a school kid and then as a machine! But hey, they provide you with a friendly, flexible and informal environment! Not to mention free coffee and fruit.. what amazing benefits, right? The truth is that this company is just an incredible bluff! And now I am gonna give you some reasons: 1. very high turnover (not more than 1.5/2 years). Analysts are not happy, matter of fact! 2. Kindergarten teachers earn more! You re probably gonna read a reply below this comment by someone of the management staff about “salary benchmarking”... well, again, a non-native English teacher with little experience can earn up to 200€ (=900pln) more (AFTER TAX) monthly. In some cases, even shop assistants make more money (and I doubt they need a MSc or need to speak 3 languages); 3. Pay raise is after 2 years!!! And you know how much? From 50€to 150€ (after tax) according to your performance! You have to be a robot to get a miserable raise after 2 years of hard work; 4. Low transparency and false promises in terms of promotions and opportunities; 5. Internal mobility formally promoted but totally nonexistent (not because of covid but a cost-cutting policy); 6. Bossy and very unpleasant team leaders in France (I promise, not just my opinion) pretending to be comprehensive during the first phase of the training and then absolutely inflexible; 7. Overtime is not paid, not requested but absolutely necessary to hit the daily target; 8. Extremely repetitive job. True, you have the chance to apply for other (not paid) extra projects but only if your performance is good; 9. They are obsessed with productivity and accuracy but the way individual KPIs are evaluated is simply unfair and completely messy! Now that you are aware of this, do whatever you feel like to! But again, do not buy what it is written on their website/job offer or anything they boast about...beware from the day one! Sincerely a former employee (on behalf of many others) *it is actually less if you decide to have a decent medical insurance and to sign up to the multisport card. Your net salary is not gonna be higher than 840/850€ (3850pln) I dare you to travel across Europe with that purchasing power!

Does EcoVadis offer unlimited holiday?
Pros
Free Cereal, Tea, Coffee & Flexitime
Cons
For a company that rates otherĺs on discrimination and social issues it is a pity that they discriminate so much especially in the Mauritius EVS department. Let us start by discrimination based on faith. Unfortunately no matter how competent or qualified you are, if you are of the same faith as some members of upper management you have zero chance of getting promoted. However of you are of the same faith then even if you commit some gross misconduct or continuously speak inappropriately (of sexual or offensive topic) then it is quietly swept under the rug and you climb ladders. Your salary increment also depends to some extent on your faith. Also when questions are asked on eligibility of this promotion only then criteria are made to suit those particular people's profile. Another issue is that while we have been cautioned on posting on social media, some members of management openly criticise other religions or like extremists groups openly on society media. This is accessible to all external stakeholders. One good thing on paper is that we have multiple channels to report issues. However retaliation following that is even more real. You might be passed over for promotions or get warnings for any issue. Say some things have been ongoing for a while ( such as coming late 5 minutes. )These issues will be cumulated and presented to you where you might get a warning. There is also blatant ignorance of the law. It is mandatory to make a health & Safety assessment of home working if employees are requested to work from home. While we are being forced to do so, no such exercise has been carried out. Moreover no adequate equipment nor funds have been provided for home equipment. An insignificant sum has been provided with the claim that we can manage as we have done so in the past. In other words you are expected to spend your own money to do Ecovadis work!!! Also while we rate on health & Safety, these of employees are being ignored. We are being forced to work under the ac( even of it is causing health issues) or qe get intense tropical sunlight on us or our PC with a refusal to close blinds. This is causing eye problem as well as other issues such as headaches but we are being asked to adjust. PC brightness can be adjust but to some extent. It cannot be compared to sunlight on a PC and management who do not sit next to open windows refuse to acknowledge that this is an issue causing health problems. The excuse Paris office has open blinds. How can you compare a European country with cool climate to one with tropical sunlight. Another unfair comparison is that European and American office are allowed to take long holidays during their summer time to enjoy time with their family and most importantly children. However in Mauritius this is not the case. Come summer when our kids are on leave they restrict our leaves. So much for promoting work life balance and fair treatment. Moreover whenever an honest post containing issues are listed, miraculously a few ones with just positive aspects pop up. Beware these might just be another attempt of covering issues. Also management might mention that investigation have been carried out following a post. This is questionable as how cam an investigation be concluded just a few days after a review is posted!!! Sadly while it is said that Mauritian workers were always looked down( despite some of us being qualified from top notch international universities) as compared to US or European ones, the fact that local management openly discriminates is sad. Perhaps more qualified and unbiased personnel should be hired as the atmosphere has become toxic. People are no longer motivated.
Advice to Management
Please change for a more competent and unbiased one.
