Does Cisco Systems have a pension plan?

Pros

So my first role at Cisco was amazing! I had the most supportive team and everyone was really lovely. Unfortunately they weren't hiring and the role was temporary. They supported me, let me drive changes and my manager was so nice. Benefits are nice, nice pension, work from home and free healthcare.

Cons

At my current role, processes are old, I changed managers 5 times now, and all of the managers treat me like an inconvenience in the budget. It's like they enjoy giving us roadblocks and getting us in trouble for it. It's all about compliance compliance compliance.... Also despite the fact that the company is all about diversity and inclusion, I noticed in my current team, there were cases or racism and sexism that were just brushed off. An ethnic colleague speaking got a smirk from one of my colleagues, men tend to be the ones getting all the promotions and if you're in a call which is with all men, you don't get to put a word in or are interrupted. Feels like you're being put down...

Advice to Management

Please be more inclusive to the quieter team members, introduce others and include people more. Team dynamic is so important! If you have everyone in team unhappy and complaining, that should act like a red flag - not that they're just grumpy... Also please stop focusing so much on your made up stakeholders, it's not efficient and doesn't provide any benefits to the actual customers/users.

Benefits are nice, nice pension, work from home and free healthcare.

"When I reflect on my time in the hospital, I felt compassion, support, and love from my Cisco peers and leadership. The support we received was tremendous and made me realize that the culture of Cisco is all about people first." — Sonal S., Systems Architect. Sonal's maternity leave started sooner than anticipated but that didn't change the support she received from her team at Cisco.
