How do employees feel about their professional development opportunities at British Institutes?
Pros
many opportunities for building experience across a broad range of teaching goals (different exam courses, different levels and ages, etc.) good staff support at the location I was working from. Help with bureaucracy of moving to Italy at the beginning. Lots of resources and help with lesson planning for new teachers
Cons
work/life balance is not great. Fairly basic pay with no real benefits

Pros
Remote working. Structured and organised. Pays on time. Nice to interact with learners from a diverse range of backgrounds and interests
Cons
Low rate of pay & prep work unpaid. If more than 3 or 4 participants in a group, difficult to adequately manage.

Very unprofessional admin, no teacher support whatsoever, questionable payroll practices.
