Some good opportunities to do science, decent salary at entry level positions

Insecure environment created in division I worked in for junior scientists especially if you can't blend in the tribe . Lack of funding is overused as an excuse to deny retention, senior scientists... communicate that repeatedly to postdoctoral RAs if they seek long term opportunities. Staff scientists worried about their own career trajectory, which leads to micro-management and heavy disregard for junior scientists work-life balance and boundaries. Even if you forgo that aspect, it's not the organization to expect encouragement for junior scientists unfortunately, to pursue long term career, and it’s becoming a trend. Resistance to retention and diversity. Out of touch and non-communicative senior management/scientists , especially towards young scientists coming from different cultural backgrounds than them (you almost feel like invisible if you don’t identify with the tribe )
