Former Employee - Community Based Case Manager

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than a year

Pros

Compassion driven corporate culture, excellent pay and benefits, management that focuses on positive reinforcement and training, wonderful co-workers, fulfilling work with measurable daily... achievements.

Cons

Constant change, sometimes without proper notification, lack of job security (employment determined by the state's political climate)

Current Employee - Analyst

I have been working at Manulife full-time for less than a year

Pros

- Strong employee base with very knowledgeable professionals to help you learn. - Practices and preaches work-life balance. - Transitions between departments is easy, better able to explore... different areas and roles in the company.

Cons

- Highly bureaucratic - Too much IT contracting

Advice to Management

- Don't be afraid to commit to full-time employees. Loss of productivity could hurt the company in the long term with all the contract IT workers.
