Former Employee - RN Case Manager

Pros

Pay rate is nice and the pension plan (if still offered to new employees is good). The step raises are also fair.

Cons

The pediatric case management department is a very unorganized department that is run by an inept and unsupportive director named Trevor Haines that likes to micromanage. You will be promised... orientation training but there actually won't be any as the supervisor who is suppose to train you will abandon you. The director does not support you in any way nor hear your grievances or solutions to make your job better if it requires him to do anything that involves asking for support from the higher ups or changing the status quo. He will agree to higher up request to add additional tasks to your already busy job without giving you any additional support. He will also share inappropriate, personal information with you at times where you need to work or about to get off work. It is information that is not related to work sometimes and something a superior should probably not share with a subordinate. His communication style is passive aggressive and when an idea is suggested that is not something he can wrap his mind around, he will think you are the problem or just leave the conversation entirely. He has made the work environment very toxic and several staff have left or are thinking of leaving due to this. Avoid the pediatric case management department at all cost if Trevor Haines is still the director. You will be burnt out and left with no support from the people running this department.
