Featured Review

Former Employee - Strategic Business Analyst

I worked at TC Energy full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Benefits are great pension plan, lots of flex days and designated time off before long weekends during the summer. Lots of opportunities to try different jobs within the company.

Cons

Slow pace, people are slow and waiting for their pensions. Don’t expect to accomplish anything quickly.

Advice to Management

Recognize the talent within. Look into succession planning.

I worked at TransCanada Turbines

Pros

- Great people, you get along with everyone. - Great pay. - Company paid events multiple times throughout the year. - Emphasis on safety. -

Cons

- A volatile environment. Multiple layoffs have occurred in the last few years. - They seem to just hire young and cheap, and choose not to retain the experienced. It doesn't seem like a place you... would want to get settled into.

Advice to Management

Avoid spending like crazy when there is money, but then letting people go when business temporarily declines.
