Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Nederlandse Spoorwegen full-time

Pros

Great atmosphere, responsibilities and capabilities are well managed and the are good at giving credit where credit is due.

Cons

some of the external people you'l have to work with are sometimes not really up to their job.

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Good work/life balance. Good pay and benefits. Satisfying job experience. A lot of excellent co-workers. Almost absolute job security. Where else do you get all this?

Cons

An above-average number of employees is actively avoiding work or has thrown in the towel in the face of bureaucracy. Controlled by outside interests (regional public transport company and political... influences).

Advice to Management

Engage employees. Help them understand why their work is important. Get rid of chronic under performers.
