I worked at McKinsey & Company full-time
Work with some of the most interesting and ambitious people around. Interesting problems with (predominantly) interesting clients.
Long hours are a given, and they increase in direct proportion to your tenure.
I worked at Boston Consulting Group full-time for more than a year
I started at BCG as an associate and spent ~2 years there. BCG is a phenomenal place to gain exposure to a wide variety of high impact projects and senior client settings while quickly developing a... strong skillset. More than that, a number of MDPs personally invested in my career and have been great mentors to me. Across the office and my practice area, BCG has really felt like family. I loved my time at the firm!
Hours are long as expected but case leadership works to make it sustainable - no real cons!
