What Employees Say
I have been working at JobPath full-time
The participants we support are all wonderful to work with and often the staff is very helpful and supportive.
The pay and promotion opportunities are very limited and sometimes there can be a lot of miscommunication or no communication among staff and participants. This can be particularly frustrating when... there is a sensitive deadline or if it's an important issue that could really impact someone, and oftentimes the DSP's and Facilitators take the blame for it, even when we are doing the best we can to make sure all the participants get the support they need.
Advice to Management
We should really find ways to get more funding so that high-performing and dedicated staff get the pay they need and deserve. It's really unfair to expect so much from employees when they are paid so... little and at times under supported. Also, miscommunication happens everywhere and it happens all the time, but at this point it would be great that all members of management are clear about what's expected in terms of billing from the start. I didn't realize there was a requirement for 4 and a half hours per support until far after the fact I was working in the community, and without being told ahead of time I would have no way of knowing that.
