I have been working at Travelport full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

The Dublin office is viewed very positively in Travelport and we are able to attract good people with potential. The office itself is very nice, and the site operations people do an amazing job. It’s... a pleasure working there. Since the company was bought a lot of the senior leaders who were just hanging around for a payoff have left, which is great. There is an emerging sense of purpose and direction - though see cons. People are friendly, supportive and considerate. I can’t think of any a******s who work in the Dublin office.

Cons

Change bring uncertainty, but it’s not unique in Travelport. The company has some difficult choices - I hope they choose to take swift, short term pain and risk over “business as usual” because the... latter means stagnation. Smart people will leave. Agile is new to the org outside Dublin and they need to hire more pragmatic and experienced agile coaches across the globe and less people with theoretical book smarts who talk mumbo jumbo - we have had a few of them over the years.

Advice to Management

Take risks with our business, and support risk taking. Recognise people and good parts of our culture and work to recognise and amplify that.
