Advice to Management
take care about employees, so that have good salaries, no dress code, that thay can work from home and have flexible time
I have been working at DXC Technology full-time for more than a year
Having joined what was HPE and witnessed it's transition and merger with CSC to become DXC Technology, I'm in a fairly good place to give a balanced review. In no particular order; Company training-... Whereas with HPE training was limited, DXC is now fully embracing (and leading) digital, Agile and Scrum methodologies. This is involving employees being offered the opportunity to become qualified in various disciplines, namely Scrum and Agile Practioner. Excellent first rate onsite training from DXC employees who are actually employed in those roles, thus giving a greater course experience. Employees now being given the opportunity to become company Agile 'Global Train the Trainer' which is another string to add to the bow. Work life balance - The company allows the ability to work from home if necessary, not all the time but enough to allow the school run/house repairs etc, which is a huge help. Seems to be at manager's discretion, and with some direction from leadership also. Pulling employees back in can only help in the Scrum methodology. Actual work routine- the company has some silo accounts, as well as Agile delivery teams. Having only worked in the accounts, I can only comment on those. So far worked in really good teams/projects, and direct line manager is excellent, as in the team of project managers. Some real characters, blending experience, youth and knowledge pretty well. Graduate scheme- Previously not the best in the HPE days, now taken a huge upward turn, with grads being given the correct level jobs, new hire grads getting an EXCELLENT salary; way, way above the company's competitors. A huge amount of investment in graduates, with clear progression being laid out. Social- quite a social company, or at least in my team and project, having had at least 2 Christmas parties each year! Employee engagement - since the forming of DXC over a year ago, there has been a positive drive towards engaging the onsite work force, with vendors, stalls, gym discounts, gym visits, yoga classes, pilates classes, nutrition advice, health awareness training, NHS Better Health at Work Awards, health checks (blood pressure, BMI etc) no smoking campaigns, and even an onsite bike servicing/repair service the last Thursday of each month. Prospects- Much better promotion/pay increase with DXC than previous HPE it would seem Awards etc- Received a quarterly company award, and a lump of cash with it, and a company bonus so absolutely no complaints there whatsoever! Those who are awarded are now mentioned on the company's 'Uber Scrum' meeting, again a great idea. Benefits- The option to buy day's leave is great; previously it was only in blocks of 5, no it's single days, blocks, or anything up to 20 days, likewise you can 'sell' leave back to the company, although why anyone would do that I'm not sure. Overall I'm very happy working here; great ethos, team, people and benefits. Salary excellent, seems on par with other companies, if not better. Great blend of youth and experience, with solid prospects and varied roles.
