Postdoctoral Researcher

Today HR called me for telling me that they are interested in hiring me (we discussed salary and starting date to draft the contract) but they have to wait till end of next week since by company policy the position has to stay x days opened in the internal website. They do not expect anyone to apply but they can send me the contract only by the 10 Oct. Should I sent a thank you note again after this conversation?

    She was quite confident that no one will apply... of course everything can happen. I do not know since when the position is open internally, but for sure the 5th of Sept was not open yet and the only sure thing is that they close it on 6th Oct...🙈
