What does a Support Consultant do?
Support consultants provide specialized support services to businesses and organizations to assist with a range of critical operational functions. These consultants often have expertise in a particular business area, such as accounting, marketing, or cybersecurity. They evaluate the organization’s primary or urgent needs, create a strategic action plan, and implement systems and solutions to address those needs and help achieve business objectives. They may also serve as an internal subject matter expert to provide guidance and advice in their area of expertise, and may create training guides or other materials.
Support consultants typically have at least a bachelor’s degree in their field of expertise, although an advanced degree is an asset. They have extensive experience in that field, including roles with project management responsibilities. They also must have excellent analytical skills.
- Develop and provide youth-specific activities related to case plan.
- Ensure minimum quality assessments are completed on each call center member.
- Monitor success of interventions and report to team lead.
- Interact on a day-to-day basis with members of a core set of key internal partners, including risk, technology, control, legal, and compliance, to support the ongoing semi-annual rate reevaluation process.
- Address disciplinary and performance opportunities quickly, consistently, fairly, and in accordance with organizational policy and process.
- Participate in the on-call after hours escalation support team rotation.
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, supervision, briefings and program activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across internal audit and other stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies.
- Develop, implement, and monitor risk-based programs to identify, assess and mitigate any operational risk that arises from inadequate or ineffective controls.
- Consult with businesses to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage change.
- Define client needs and develop plan for delivery of solutions.
- Maintain client and case confidentiality per HIPAA, state and agency standards.
- Provide timely feedback, coaching and monitoring of development plans.
- Strengthen client and business partnerships by identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to create efficacies and reduce risk.
- Effectively communicate with the transitions team on how the tasks are going and if there are any risks.
- Interface with other departments and vendors to resolve problems.
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in business, computer science, or information systems.
- Fluency in HTML, SQL, JAVA, SAP TM, Linux, D365 and cloud software, systems, and protocols.
- Demonstrated collaboration and advocacy skills alongside attention to detail, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated confidence and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with crystal reports and frameworks.
- Prior experience as a consultant.
- Comfortable with selecting, renewal, scripting, and shell scripting.
