What does a Studio Manager do?
Studio managers are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a recording studio. They schedule session appointments and reservations, coordinate staffing, collect and process payments, and manage invoices and vendor fees. They do an inspection and setup process before each recording session. They may assist with the operation of equipment, and provide technical specialists and other contractors. They ensure the studio is maintained in safe and clean condition, and that the facilities are kept secure. They are responsible for the maintenance and safekeeping of recording equipment and supplies.
Studio managers typically have a high school diploma, and experience with managing studio facilities. They should have in-depth knowledge of the equipment and facilities, and be able to perform basic maintenance. These roles require strong organizational skills.
